Good one, drive away the player base with more PvP influence over PvE, that way they can start over from scratch, because noway will the PvP base of GW be able to pay for their salerys.

Let me put it this way. There are more European players than any other territory. It simply isn't fair. America only has the U.S, Canada, and maybe Mexico. Japan only has Japan, Taiwan only has Taiwan, and Korea is only North and South Korea. Those Asian countries might as well be one territory, because Europe has England, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden, Bulgaria, Germany, and probably others. I have no idea.

Winning HA should have benefits to the country that wins, but it shouldn't be Uw and FoW. Its a hard problem to solve, and either way Anet does it, its going to make alot of people mad.

I think taking away UW and FoW as being favored only would make them become "less special" especially if you could acess them 24/7.

Imagine being able to go to Uw/FoW any time you wanted? How special would they be then? They'd just be another area...and people would get more bored with them if this happened.

PvP should have some connection with PvE, afterall Guild Wars is based on a world just like ours. It be like having the Chinese and Mongolians trying to pretend one another didn't exist even though their countries are right next to one another.


PvP should influence PvE it makes the game slighty more immerse, and it makes it feel like a real world.

So I vote yes, because it should, the two shouldn't be totally cut off from one another. Anet just needs to find better ways of connecting the two together.

The countries that are included 'geographically' in the terms 'America', 'Europe', or the smaller servers are irrelevant.

Many serious Heroes' Ascent players set their base server as the one with the highest population of successful Heroes' Ascent players because they want Fame.

All serious Ecto and Shard farmers set their base server as the one which has Favor most of the time.

In conclusion, players who want Fame or Favor badly enough are going to Europe. So, the original problem of certain servers having higher gaming populations than others is steadily worsened.

I'm closing in on two years of playing and the Fissure of Woe and Underworld still appeal to me. There are the odd nights when America wins favor and it's too late for the guild to form a group to go in, but most of the time it's won early enough in the evening for me to go. If it was open 24/7, it would just mean we could clear more out before others had to call it a night.

Compare this to the elite missions. I've never entered Urgoz's Warren or The Deep since the faction grind was never appealing to me. I could always grab a ferry but I refuse to give into a system even more flawed than Favor of the Gods. Great idea, let's make an area that only 10 guilds at most have access to at a time. I guess the original hope was for users to be more outraged at the limited access of the elite missions than favor, but then players learned how to ferry so we could focus on how much we hate favor again.

DoA... I think I spent an afternoon in there, got annoyed, and quit. Was given the gems for Razah so I never had a reason to go back.

The only endgame content are the god realms or elite missions (to a lesser extent Challenge missions) aside from PvP. Given that it's the only form of endgame content that I've played and enjoyed, I highly doubt it would ever lose that 'special' feeling. They could remove shards and ecto, I'd still go in (prehaps limit the dropping of rare materials to having favor...).

Spoiler Kormir became a God, and we don't have to wait for favor to enter her realm.

How about this; instead of region changes you choose whether favor determines your access to elite missions or god realms. I'd have no objections to being denied access to the elite missions if it meant I could FoW/UW whenever I please.

Actually, Europe only has more PvP players. And they seem to have no life...

Taiwan, and Japan have a Miniscule player base, and have a massive disadvantage against Europe, and America.

No I dont think PvP should affect the PvE areas and I am happy that DoA is not afected by that and you only need to finish the missions to get there. I think that the party wishing to enter UW/FOW should have to gain favor of the the gods somehow almost like a hard endgame mission, if they can win the favor of the gods then they can enter ... have 5 random (1 for each god) areas all very different and all very hard, but not too time costly. Have it so the players never know which area they would get and if they beat that mission they gain favor of the gods then they can enter UW or FOW.
I am mostly a PvE player but enjoy PvP lots also but I dont like them being linked. I think keeping the statues and getting the blessings should remain the same but acess to UW or FOW should be open to all when they want to. It is hard to wait for hours to gain favor and then when you do get favor half the party has to leave cause of how late it is.
About the Deep and Urgoz - Our guild keeps a toon in both the Deep and Urgoz because many times it is hard to find a ferry. This way we can just map to the hall and then map back as long as the toon is the leader and all members have been there before. I think getting into those places should not be as it is now, it should be how many Kurz/Lux faction your char has if he has 8-10k faction then they allow him in if not then farm some faction to get there. Because as one person said before that a guild that wants to be a jerk about it can and did shut down the deep for over 2 months.
